The tigress sultana pursuing the gypsies was recorded by the Guide and now it has become an internet sensation. The big cat was seen in the jungle chasing the tourists but she did not attack them but there was panic among the crowd. As forest official’s state, there were no other vehicles on the track so gypsy was able to move with full speed to protect themselves.
Now the route has been closed for tourists till further order by forest officials. There are many places where cameras are placed to watch the activity of tigress but till date no tourists has been attacked by tigress. Tigers live in Zone 1 and the development has been recorded near Ganesh Temple and Joomar Baori. Some of the big cats do try to chase safari vehicles.
This is the third time Sultana has pursued vehicles in Ranthambore National Park. A 26 sec video went viral and the shot was taken by tourists.
