Online footage shows two tigers in Ranthambore National Park, Rajasthan, chasing a deer, creating amazement among animal enthusiasts. According to park authorities, the clip depicts the two tigers sprinting towards the deer.

Tourists were astonished as tigers pursued a baby deer, considering the rare sight a “jackpot.” Captured by tourists in safari jeeps, the video was shared by the national park authorities on Instagram on February 11, 2024. Gaining attraction among animal enthusiasts, the video has surpassed 11k views. 

Ranthambore National Park, located in the Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan, is a renowned wildlife sanctuary and a haven for nature enthusiasts and wildlife photographers. Spanning over 1,334 square kilometers, the park is celebrated for its diverse ecosystem, home to a thriving population of Bengal tigers, leopards, sloth bears, and a myriad of bird species. Tigers are readily visible during daylight, engaging in routine activities such as hunting and caring for their cubs. 

The best time to visit Ranthambore National Park is during the winter months from October to March. During this period, the weather is relatively pleasant, and the vegetation is sparse, making it easier to spot wildlife as they gather around water sources. The months of April and May, before the onset of the monsoon, also offer good opportunities for tiger sightings as the animals are frequently seen near waterholes. Visitors during these months should be prepared for warmer temperatures. Overall, the winter season remains the most popular time to explore the park’s rich biodiversity and witness the majestic tigers in their natural habitat.

The Ranthambore National Park has taken its name from the famous Ranthambore Fort which is situated within the park. The park is located in the district of Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan and at the distance of around 11 km from the Sawai Madhopur railway station. Sawai Madhopur is approx 130 km away from the capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur.
