A bad news has come from Ranthambore National Park for wildlife activists and lovers. The well-known tiger T-65 alias Suraj of Ranthambore has died here. This tiger was being searched for a long time as it has left its own territory and living in another area. Now the body of the tiger has been found lying in the pond located in Khandar area. The circumstances of the death seem to be quite suspicious, but the forest department in its prima facie telling it to be a death due to natural causes. The condition of the body of T-65 is also very bad, due to which it could not be identified for several hours. Later, DCF Mahendra Sharma reached the spot and identified the tiger.

Many speculations about death

According to forest department officials, it may be that T-65 had a fight with another tiger over the area and due to this he died. Because there is also a movement of Tiger T3 in Khandar area but he is a very old tiger. At the same time, T – 38 has also been sighted several times in this area. T – 123, the son of T-65, has also found its territory in Khandar area.  There is also a speculation that the tiger may also be a victim of a crocodile attack, but no major wounds have been found on the body of the tiger. There was a big injury mark on his nose, but that too is not believed to be fatal.

T-65 had its own special identity in Ranthambore

T-65 is the cub of Ranthambore’s famous tigress T-19 and is the grandson of the world famous tigress Machali. The T-65 was born in the Rambagh area and spent a long time there. According to forest department officials, it came to Khandar area only in search of a new area. T 65 aka Suraj in Ranthambore was easily recognized by most of the tourists because he always kept his tail in the air.

Post mortem report will reveal exact cause of death

Now a medical board was formed and the post-mortem of T-65 was done at Rajbagh post itself. The exact cause of death of the tiger will be known only after the post mart report. At present, viscera samples have been taken from the carcass of the tiger. After this the tiger was cremated at the Rajbagh post itself. Ranthambore field director TC Verma said that I do not know yet what has been the cause of death, but tiger carcass has been found in the water. We are waiting for the post-mortem Report.
