Situated amidst the Aravali and Plateaus of the Vindhyas mountains, the area of Ranthambore National Park was once the hunting ground for Jaipur royals.<\/p>\n<p>The nearest town to the national park is Sawai Madhopur. This wildlife sanctuary also counted among prominent heritage due to ancient ruins found inside. Rich biodiversity set among ancient structures is real treat for wildlife enthusiasts.<\/p>\n<p>Although flanked by the Banas River to the north and the Chambal River to the south, the many lakes inside are not fed by either of the rivers\u2019 waters. It was declared national park in the year of 1980 with focus on protection of the endangered tiger. Now \u00a0the Ranthambore National Park\u00a0 is recognized as one of the best places in the country to spot tigers. Today, sprawling across a little more than 1300 square kilometres including core and buffer area, the Ranthambore National Park is every wildlife enthusiast, photographer and a spirited traveller\u2019s haven.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Types of Safaris in Ranthambore National Park<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jeep Safari \u2013 Four wheeler open Gypsy &#8211; is the most feasible option to explore the untouched jungle of Ranthambore. \u00a0It can accommodate 6 persons at a time. However, the 20-seater Canter is a doable way to explore. You should try and book a safari at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ranthamborenationalpark.in\/\">Ranthambore National Park <\/a>well in advance to avoid hassle.<\/p>\n<p>Spotting tigers are mostly depends on your luck, but the chances of sighting leopards and tigers and other wildlife increases greatly near the three lakes.
