Tiger T-25 was found dead on Monday by forest department guards who were on patrolling. The body of the tiger has been found in the Khandar range of Ranthambore Sanctuary. The reasons for Tiger’s death have not yet been revealed. The tiger was reportedly born in the late 2000s. The tiger was around 18 years old.

According to the forest department, the body of the T-25 was found on Monday morning. Prima facie there are no visible marks on the tiger’s body. A medical board has been formed. The medical board will try to find out during the post-mortem what may have caused the death of the tiger. The T-25 was also known as Zalim and Dollar Mail. The Zalim was called for his cruel behavior. At the same time, Dollar Mail was said to be because of the dollar mark on his body.

This tiger came under discussion in 2011, when the tigress T-5 died suddenly. He had two milk-mouth cubs. T-25 raised and nurtured those both of the cubs. Earlier it was believed that tigers never raise cubs instead kill them, but the Zalim raised, handled and protected the two cubs. Both these cubs grew up and are known as ST-9 and ST-10 in Sariska Tiger Reserve.

This tiger was very important for Ranthambore

Chief Wildlife Protector Arindam Tomar said that only after the post-mortem report we will be able to get complete information about what was the real cause of T-25’s death. Tiger T-25 was considered one of the important and noted tiger of the Ranthambore National Park. Presently, in the forests of Ranthambore and Sariska have considerable progeny of T-25. There has been an era of world famous tigers in the forests of Ranthambore. A famous and known heritage of Ranthambore T-17 of Sundari is also no more. T-24 is imprisoned in Sajjangarh in Udaipur. This generation of tigers was very famous all over the world.
