T-28 Sitara Tiger :

Jhalra Female T-19 or Krishna :

T-28 is a great male tiger of Ranthambore reserve who has got a 5 point mark of start on the left eye. For this mark, he has got his name - Sitara. One of the famous incidents about Sitara is when he had a fight with Machali - the lady of the lakes which was held in 2009. During that fight, he had first been noticed by visitors. That fight was for the sake of seizing territory.

In the beginning of 2006, T-27 female tigress mated with X-male - T-2 in GilaiSagar and then, T-27 bore 2 male cubs in which one was T-28 and another was T-29. In both of these cubs, T-28 became the star.

X-Male was a ruling tiger of Ranthambore reserve during the birth of T-28. T-28 and T-29 spent more of their early times in the territories like Thumka, GilaiSagar and other surrounding areas of north-east of the park. These parts are hard to reach for tourists as there are less motor able routes. For this reason, visitors had less information about their early lives. However, in the beginning of 2008, T-28 Sitara got noticed by some vacationers in the park around Berda territory. In a short period, he extended to Lakkara and gradually covered territories around lake like Nalghati and Jhalara. At present, Sitara has become a highly dominant tiger in the park and is reigning the territories of Jhalara, Mandoop Plateau, Raj Bagh, Malik Talo, PadamTalao, Nalghati and Lakkarda.

In the fight of grabbing the maximum territories, Sitara had a historic fight with Machali - a famous tigress of the reserve which happened in 2009. In this war, Sitara got the victory, but Machali had also not left the place as both are sharing that territory with one another.

The fight between Machali and Sitara is quite interesting as after the war, Sitara started staying there with Machali and her daughters. And for now, he is mating with T-17 and T-19 - Machali's daughters. T-19 already littered 3 cubs by end of 2011; however T-17 has yet not littered.

T-29 the brother of T28 Sitara also made a remarkable appearance of himself around Lakkarda, Berda and BandarwalBaori region. Around one year earlier, T29 had undergone a bad leg injury during which the forest officials got successful in treating him; however it could help him longer. Being a critical injury, he could not make much presence in the reserve from then. One more incident of the thundering battle of two beasts of Ranthambore took place in 2009 when Machali T16 hunted a big male Sambar in BhootKhurra which is the mid of the vicinity. The main climax appeared two days after this hunt when the Sitara took her hunted Sambar from her and then, the unforgettable battle resumed. As T28 had been at his youth days and Machali was at old age, he managed to win the fight. Machali had to give up her kill and due to her devolving age, she could not push Sitara away from her territory also.

Amazingly, these days T-28 is dominating the best hunting ground near lakes and he has seized almost entire territory of Machali who is his grandmother also. Well, there are so many chapters in Sitara's life, but one thing is fact that he is the most attractive tiger due to his authoritative attitude and masculine appearance. The bravery tales of Sitara adds more attractiveness to his characteristics.
